Veranstaltungsreihe 2025
-Programm & Veranstaltungstexte-
As a project, we are committed to ensuring that people with refugee experience have the prospect of staying in Germany and gain access to education.
Specifically, we support people who came to Germany as a result of the war in Ukraine, but who originally come from the global south and had to leave their home countries due to precarious living situations, a lack of educational opportunities or war. Many of them studied in Ukraine, but very few have a Ukrainian passport.
Without a Ukrainian passport, these people do not receive the financial support and residence permits that Ukrainians are entitled to and are at risk of being deported to their original countries of origin.
In Germany, it is possible to obtain a residence permit through a training or university placement. However, this requires learning the German language, dealing with authorities, writing applications and often spending a lot of money. We support refugees in taking this path and building up long-term prospects of staying in the country through training or university and avoiding deportation.
